Krug 5th Graders Visit the Planetarium at Joliet Junior CollegeLos estudiantes de 5.º grado de Krug visitan el planetario en Joliet Junior Colleg

On Friday, February 7th Krug 5th graders had the opportunity to visit the Herbert Trackman Planetarium and Cronin School at Joliet Junior College. The planetarium visit was led by Caitlin Lee of JJC, and she took them to the Moon and out further to view our entire galaxy!  
They had lunch in the campus cafeteria before going to the Cronin School.  The one-room schoolhouse was built in 1863, on the Cronin farm in Shorewood, IL.  It provided education for students from grades 1-8.  Students got to view life in a classroom around the turn of the century, comparing and contrasting it to their present day learning environment.

El viernes, 7 de febrero, los estudiantes de 5.º grado de Krug tuvieron la oportunidad de visitar el Planetario Herbert Trackman y Cronin School en Joliet Junior College. ¡La visita al planetario estuvo a cargo de Caitlin Lee de JJC, y ella los llevó hasta la Luna y más allá para ver toda nuestra galaxia!

Almorzaron en la cafetería del campus antes de ir a Cronin School. La escuela de un solo salón se construyó en 1863, en la granja Cronin en Shorewood, Illinois. Proporcionaba educación a estudiantes de 1.º a 8.º grado. Los estudiantes tuvieron la oportunidad de ver la vida en un salón de clases antes del cambio de siglo, comparándola y contrastándola con su entorno de aprendizaje actual.
